OUR FIBRE NETWORKUnisonFibre has already lit the fibre in Hawke’s Bay, with further plans to roll it out in the remaining key commercial and business areas. UnisonFibre also has strategic plans to carry on this roll out throughout Taupo and Rotorua.In Hawke's Bay, the extensive Fibre backbone runs into Napier, Hastings and Havelock North and reaches local business hubs, running past major streets and businesses. In Taupo, the fibre backbone currently connects to four zone substations which are located at Centennial Drive, Fleet Street, Rununga and Taupo South, while the Rotorua fibre backbone connects the three zone substation at Biak St, Rotorua and Arawa Streets. The fibre backbone in Hawke’s Bay has greatly improved Unison Networks’ own electricity network communications and quality of power and will also enable major users and businesses along the route to connect to the high speed fibre running past their door.
